As reported a few months ago, the authorities in Alanya tackle illegal work in the real estate sector. It mainly concerns home workers: people who pretend to be a real estate company, but who do not have an office and work without a license. Of course, no tax is paid on sold property by these people. There are very severe penalties in Turkey for this. Unfortunately, many real estate sellers from Europe are also illegally active in this way. This, of course, does not apply to residents who have a job in their home country and continue that by, for example, working via the internet. The authorities are also working closely with the population to put an end to these illegal activities.
