The Alanya Foreigners’ Advisory Council celebrates its 20th anniversary


The Alanya Municipality Foreigners’ Advisory Board, which contributes to the social, cultural and economic life of foreigners in Alanya, celebrated its 20th anniversary with a special programme organised at the Alanya Cultural Centre. Twenty years ago, Alanya was the first city in Turkey to establish a Foreigners’ Advisory Council, which gave a voice to the foreigners living here.

The Foreigners’ Advisory Council is a mixture of different nationalities. The idea of the council is to act as a bridge between the foreigners living here and the community. The council meets once a month to discuss the possible wishes and problems of foreigners or visitors living here and how best to solve them.
