At the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, the 3-day sugar festival (şeker/ramadan bayramı) always takes place. This year from 21.04.23 – 23.04.2023. Banks, government agencies and schools remain closed during this festival. The supermarkets and possibly some of the restaurants are closed on the 1st day or only open to a limited extent and from the 2nd day the regular opening hours usually resume. The weekly markets/bazaars do not take place on these 3 days.
