Since July 2, 2019, a new law has been in force that every foreign customer who has a telephone and/ or internet connection in his name must register it again.
Customers with a residence permit (i.e. an Ikamet) only have to go with their customer number and their Ikamet to the relevant provider (Türkcell, Vodafone, Türk Telekom) and have their connection registered again.
Customers who do not have an Ikamet must personally contact the immigration office and the town hall to receive a registration number. The connections are terminated without a new registration.
