Let’s say you want to sell a property. There is somebody who is interested and you agree with each other upon the price. The agreed price is transferred to your account. Everything is good so far. Now, the buyer reports by telephone that he cannot come to the transfer of the ownership documents. A friend will come in his place. You do not mind because you already have your money. Everything is signed and transferred to the friend’s name at the appropriate agencies. The property is now in the name of the buyer’s friend.
Shortly thereafter, the buyer calls you and asks for his money back, because the property has not been put in his name. At the cadaster office you have confirmed receiving the money, before signing over the property. The buyer goes to court and wins the case: you have to pay the money back to him.
So always be careful with individuals who approach you and let the professionals take care of it.
