Parliamentary and presidential elections will take place in Turkey on May 14, 2023. Almost 60 million eligible voters are called upon to elect a new parliament and a new president. It will be the 5th election in which Turkish nationals living abroad will also be able to vote.
After this election, a reform of the right of residence is expected. There should then be clarity again about the requirements that have to be met in order to get an Ikamet. In Alanya, 4 districts (Avsallar, Kestel, Mahmutlar, Kargicak) have been blocked for issuing a residence permit since July 1st, 2022.
