After the purchase of real estate by foreigners was made legally easier in 2013, interest in buying property in Turkey has increased. Between 2003 and 2017, foreigners bought property worth $ 42 billion. The sale of real estate to foreigners increased by 20 percent in the first three months of 2017. Faruk Akbal, the CEO of Nevita International, part of Fuzul Group, said that from 2013, foreigners have bought 99,691 properties in Turkey.
