The fourth edition of the Ephesus International Opera and Ballet Festival will take place from August 24th to September 3rd this year. The festival, which was held for the first time in 2018, offers concerts and musicals in addition to opera and ballet performances. The festival starts with the opera “La Traviata” by the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi. The State Opera and Ballet Izmir (DOB) presented the opera on the first day of the festival in the ancient theater of Ephesus, which will open its doors in the western province of Izmir after restoration. The ballet “Carmen”, which combines the music of the opera of the same name by the French composer Georges Bizet with original choreography, will be performed on August 28 in the ancient theater of Ephesus. The next performance of the festival will be the Ankara State Opera and Ballet Modern Dance Ensemble (MDT) on September 1st. . The last performance of the festival will be staged on September 3rd by the Izmir State Opera and Ballet Orchestra, Choir and Soloists.
