On Sunday the German Turkish friendship association ADD IDA met for their annual Christmas Fair in the cultural center of Alanya. At different stalls at the fair, postcards, candles and clothes were on offer for sale. Naturally there were German cakes and coffee available and not to be missed. For the festive music a one-man band performed so that all could dance and celebrate.
There were many fellow Turkish citizens to be seen; also the Mayor of Alanya and the Al-Active team were invited to the German Christmas Fair.
The manager of Al-Active real estate Mrs. Seyhan Arabaci helped Mayor Hulusi Dogan and Mr. Hockenholz of the Alanya Press in the translations during their discussions, the Mayor Hulusi Dogan commented that: “We are pleased that the Germans in Alanya enjoy themselves. For us also they are‚ “Alanyaner “. We do what we can, in order to make the German life pleasant here in Alanya as much possible. “
Proceeds of the Christmas Fair went to the charity for mentally handicapped people.
