The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) wants to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Turkish earthquake zone. To this end, the EBRD has launched an aid program worth 1.5 billion euros.
The aim of the program is to support companies in rebuilding damaged buildings, production facilities and infrastructure. Each company should receive a grant that covers 85 percent of the reconstruction and repair costs. The upper limit is therefore 60,000 euros.
The program is financially supported by the Japanese Ministry of Finance. It will be carried out in the earthquake-affected provinces of Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Hatay, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa.
