In January 2023, Turkish exports to Germany reached a new record of around 1.6 billion euros. According to the Turkish export association TIM, exports to Germany increased by 7.7 percent compared to the same period last year. With a share of 8.2 percent of total exports, Germany is at the top of Turkish export destinations. The automotive industry accounted for the largest share of Turkey’s exports, with exports worth US$412.51 million. Germany was followed by the USA ($1.04 billion), Great Britain ($890.93 million), Italy ($804.48 million) and Russia ($790.35 million) as the most important destination countries. The Russian market saw the largest increase for Turkish exports at US$415.92 million.
