Driving license in Turkey


In general, your foreign driving license is valid if you stay here for no longer than 6 months at a time. If you leave and re-enter the country one day, these 6 months start again. If that’s too cumbersome or doesn’t want to pay attention to the 6 months, you have 2 other options: 1. Visit a driving school in Turkey and pass the exams. 2. Have the existing (foreign) driving license transferred to the Turkish one. For this you need: – the last school or university certificate translated and certified by a notary. – Passport copy translated and notarized – Translated and notarized copy of the driver’s license – Ikamet (original and copy) – 2 passport photos – Copy of fee payments
