Land register transfers by power of attorney


Due to the increased demand for real estate and the resulting increase in the number of changes in the land register, there may be longer waiting times at the land registry. This is (un) favored by the lower number of civil servants who are deployed because of the pandemic. After the start of the procedure at the office, it can take up to 15 days to get an appointment for the transfer at the land registry. Often, however, buyers or sellers cannot stay here that long. In this case, an effective means is to give a power of attorney at Turkish notary’s office here on site. A real estate transfer can thus be carried out on behalf of the client, regardless of the presence of those involved.
